Describe the process used for selecting APPS

The first thing to take into consideration when selecting an app for your students is the students' needs - what are the objectives that will be achieved by using this app. Some very important questions to ask when selection an app for your students is: 

• How relevant is this app in meeting the needs of the students? 

• Does the content align with the required standards and will it help students meet these standards?

• Is the app age appropriate - is the content the right level for the students? 

• How engaging is this app; will it motivate students to want to use the the app?

• Does this app align with the learning goals set for the students? 

• Will this app build on the skills of the students and guide them in developing new skills through scaffolding and will it improve students' performance?

• Is this app easily accessible and user friendly; will students of all levels to be able to launch and use this app independently?

Educational apps should should focus on the needs and abilities of the students; its contents should be relevant, engaging and should assist in meeting the learning goals while improving the students' performance. This app should be user friendly, motivating and should provide feedback.
